The people who have relevant works from the government, the public servants take bribe in order to progress their work. The Government of India has come up with an initiative to punish the culprits. People save money to lead a good life, but if the work of the government must be done, the people simultaneously must pay extra amounts as a bribe to the public servants for the work to be done.
Some public servants will progress with the work of the people only after taking bribes; until and unless they take the bribe, the work of the people will be on hold for some days, months, or in some instances, an entire year. If the amount is paid on time to the public servants, the work of the people will be done instantly, or else it will surely be delayed.
People trust the government works to be done as the citizens of India but if the above-mentioned happenings occur regularly problems arise.
The Supreme Court of India said that a public servant working for the government are charged with case if at all bribes has taken from the people in doing their works structured with the government.
The people who have evidence pertaining the same can file a case against them. A five-judge constitutional bench headed by Justice SA Nazeer said that the corrupted public servants must be charged accordingly.
In the absence of the complainant, it is permissible to draw an inferential deduction of culpability. The bench includes Justices BR Gavai, AS Bopanna, V Ramasubramanian, and BV Nagarathna. Under relevant provisions, the court also said that if the defendant is dead or not available, the public servant can still be convicted.
