Jitendra Singh Tyagi, a leader of the Hindutva movement, asked President Droupadi Murmu for euthanasia approval in a video released on Twitter on Friday. In the video, Tyagi claims that since 2021, when he joined “Sanatan Dharma,” clergy in the state of Uttar Pradesh have threatened him, harassed him, and falsely accused him of crimes. Tyagi claimed he feels like an orphan as he has received no assistance after visiting many Hindu organizations, including the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh). After I accepted “Sanatan Dharma” and spoke out against 26 contentious Quranic verses, it has been almost a year and a half. Since then, extremist groups and some hardline clerics have been unfairly targeting me, Tyagi claimed in a video message released on Friday night.

He continued by saying that despite receiving “assurances” from his Hindu allies, nobody seemed to take the situation seriously.
