The dissection of today’s news media. How has mainstream journalism become contaminated over the years?

The only word that can quite explicitly define today’s standard of Indian journalism is just “Shamelessness.” The means of Indian journalism has fallen in recent times, and almost all central News and broadcasting channels are now under the direct or indirect influence of the Indian government. Several articles have already been written over the issue, which has also been addressed in the international media, but somehow the shamelessness has crossed all limits this time.
If we closely observe the transition, we will notice that this new standard of journalism started to stoop ever since the beginning of a new political era in India in 2014. Also, there has been absolutely no press meeting by Prime Minister Modi ever since he was re-elected in 2019.

Fake News and Media Diversion

There have been many instances of media diversion from the critical News throughout every political party’s rule in India. Still, somehow the condition has been fuelled ever since the subtle rise of digital media. Fake News which was once limited to WhatsApp and was being forwarded by only a handful of people, is no more restricted. They are now made the subjects of Prime Time hours in major media channels and are discussed by educated people, thereby legitimizing the topic.

How Hate Is Being Propagated in the name of News!

The rise of hatred among the masses due to an ambiance of polarization has now been made lawful by constant mentioning in the media. The most important topics get narrowed down to a specific frame and target the same class every time. All we get in today’s dissection of media is a hollow and shallow mindset and useless bootlicking!
