The past two years have been highly crucial from the point of view of the health structure in India. The health workers have gone through constant fights, which is not over yet. If we look back at those times when the COVID frontline workers were working day in day out to ensure our safety, what was our response to it? Did we reciprocate the same amount of respect back to them? Then why are there still cases where a doctor is beaten up because of the personal losses of a few individuals?

Are the frontline workers been given the facilities which they deserve?
There are stories of individual frontline workers like nurses and doctors who live in the cities but hail from the outskirts of the towns. They have not been able to visit their families for more than one year now but are they receiving the remuneration they deserve? Even if we keep aside the remuneration part, are our frontline workers receiving the required resources for fighting COVID from the front end?
Are not these the questions that the media houses must have raised by now? But are they at all concerned about their health? Not! Because whether a health worker is receiving all the benefits of a health scheme from the government is not much entertaining news to the majority of the population!
How can we help as individuals?
We can do the essential thing which we all can agree upon doing! Respect the health workers and help them fight this battle unitedly. Stop gathering of any kind, wear your masks, vaccinate yourself so that this fight does not linger for much! Make this battle easier for them because this is a battle we cannot afford to lose.
