Gurugram to witness cold wave from December 19, predicts IMD

Gurugram is expected to see a cold wave starting December 19, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).
On December 19, the minimum temperature is expected to be four degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is expected to be twenty-one degrees Celsius, according to the forecast.
“The region would be in the center of winter from December 20 to January 20,” meteorologist Navdeep Dahiya stated. A cold wave will be brought into the region by the northwest wind from the snow-capped mountains.”
On Tuesday, the district’s lowest temperature was 8 degrees Celsius. Temperatures reached a high of 22.8°C.
State of Delhi
On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was 19.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees below the seasonal usual. On Thursday, it was 8.7 degrees Celsius at its lowest point.
The minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 8 degrees Celsius on Friday, with a maximum of 20 degrees Celsius possible. According to the IMD projection, the minimum temperature from December 18 to 21 will be 6 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, temperatures are expected to drop in the next few days, and temperatures will drop to five degrees Celsius at night shortly.
Gurgaon Air Quality
After five days of being in the ‘poor’ category, the air quality index (AQI) in Gurgaon was upgraded to very poor’ on Tuesday.
According to the IMD forecast, a cold wave is expected to hit North Rajasthan from December 18 to 21, with similar conditions expected in West Uttar Pradesh from December 19 to 21 and Gujarat from December 19 to 20. This is the season’s first cold wave.
When the minimum temperature is less than 10 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 4.5 degrees to 6.4 degrees below the usual time of year, a cold wave is called for that station in the plains. A cold wave is declared when the minimum temperature falls below or equals four degrees Celsius on the tables.
