All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP)

Dr. Nowhera Shaik founded the “All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP)” with a noble cause to promote and encourage women’s participation in Indian elections. Through her statements and activities, Dr. Shaik has attempted to break down social taboos. She is vocal on socio-political and especially women’s issues.

All India Mahila Empowerment Party, (AIMEP), has given a special focus on the welfare and safety of women and their children. This section has always been vulnerable to regressive practice like child trafficking and physical abuse. Other governments created by political parties in the past have not been able to ensure their safety or overall development.

AIMEP proposes to create special courts to address the needs of women and children. To maintain law and order, other measures include the use of e-technology to curb criminality, increasing the number and speed of mobile courts, strict prohibition against liquor, and special hospitals only for women, help desks at all police stations and industrial parks in all cities, and interest-free loans to women entrepreneurs.

AIMEP assures farmers by removing all loans from farms, announcing prices for farm produce, providing quality power, setting up soil testing centres in all districts, and providing technical assistance.

After women issues, the next major MEP issue is development. Dr Nowhera Shaik says that India’s taxpaying citizens should receive the benefit of the government program in return.

It’s not very common for a business person or entrepreneur to create a political party but remain loyal to its core values. Dr. Nowhera Shaik is committed to the cause of women. “The Mahila Empowerment Party” was founded with the purpose of encouraging women to be more active in politics, particularly electoral politics.

She has been vocal about issues that affect women. She declared that her party would provide 50% reservation to women candidates for electoral politics, as she believes that increased participation by women in political life can bring about social change. She also demanded that the parliament pass the ‘Women Reservation Bill. This would allow women political participation by providing 50 per cent reservation at the state legislative assembly and in parliament.
