India is still in a trance of the celebration of its 76 years of Independence. All the events that took place during the program have been remarkable insignificant in their way. It was a way to pay homage to the great sacrifices made by the famous social reformers of the country. The true essence of freedom can only be understood if one has experienced utmost isolation. After the global pandemic was over this date became more than just a national holiday. This year’s independence day also became significant in several ways thanks to Ms Nowhera Shaik.
Ms Shaik and the MEP
Ms Nowhera Shaik is not a stranger to the people of the country anymore. She’s one of the most notable figures in the country who have not only created a business empire, and a strong opposition political party but also a social working wing that she’s best known for. This year Ms Shaik did an excellent job when she and her party the All India Mahila Empowerment Party organized a campaign ” #nanhemasoomokiudaan “ where thirty cancer patient kids were taken for an aeroplane ride around the sky of Mumbai. It was a dream come true for the children as they have wanted to view the great city from the clouds.
Ms Shaik encouraged the plan as she thought it would be the correct way to celebrate the Seventy-six year of Independence by freeing the little fairies who have been imprisoned by the shackles of illness.
The Experience
The Kids were provided breakfast in the morning. All of them gathered at the MEP Mumbai branch. After breakfast, they were taken to the chopper aircraft. The aircraft went all across the city of Mumbai. The joyous expression on their face was so pure that people boarding the flight were amazed and delighted. The event also became significant as the event became the first of its kind to be sponsored by a renowned conglomerate in the country.
The campaign not only elevated the true meaning of independence but also the position of Ms Shaik in the country. She treated the wish of those kids as an important issue as the campaign became a great success.
