Lockdown in China as New covid-19 cases in China since January amid delta surge

Several cities in China have been detected the highly transmissible Delta variant virus since July. These cities are the capital Beijing, and Wuhan, where the novels Coronavirus detected.

As per the report by china 71 covid-19 cases were detected on August 3. All these cases are locally or domestically transmitted. This is the highest number of cases since January 30. These numbers are increased continuously since July 30.

Most of the cities in China imposed strict lockdowns in cities and a few cities limited some movements.

Since July 20 the majority of china’s local cases reported in eastern Jiangsu province. Nanjing and Yangzhou of Jiangsu province suspended all domestic flights, shuttle buses, taxis. They are restricted to enter or live in the two cities.

Wuhan aims to test 12 million people in just three days to screen out infected people. Because it hampers economic growth and innovation.

Even some tourist sites and entertainment venues are closed because of domestic infections. The tourist city Zhangjiajie has restricted residents from leaving.

The symptomatic patients coming from abroad, the new cases are constant at 96 up to August 3.

China reported 27 new covid-19 cases with no symptoms. As these are not considered as confirmed cases.  No new deaths cases are reported in China.

The total no of confirmed cases in china is 93,289 by Tuesday.
